Waiting

In dark dreams I lie in wait
All I really want is to know my true fate
Will my dreams be fulfilled? Will I always walk alone?
Will I find happiness? Will life's purpose ever be known?
Until then I wait in dark dreams and anticipate
Not impatient or sad, but simply curious and sedate
