Welcome to My World
by Aithne Obsidian Sky

Greetings from my dark world
where innocence lies at rest
Where blackness rules the sky
and mystery builds it's nest
Where demons seek to plunder
and angels fear to tread
Where strange friends are welcomed warmly
and where insomnia makes her bed
The land of the ever-sleepless
who roam the wide, dark night
Seeking restitution
for stolen sleep or imagined slight
Welcome, welcome, welcome
all are welcome here
Those who are weary or heavy leaden
Those whose minds are filled with fear
The heart of this world beats for you
for missing peace, and long lost years
For ancient broken promises
for pain and and bitter tears.
Welcome to my world.
