Unresolved anger?
by Aithne Obsidian Sky
Age Group: Adult
I stand on your grave
angry that you are gone
not because I miss you
I don't
But because I wanted to be the one
who robbed years from you
in retaliation for the essence you drained from me
without a second thought
then spilled it on the ground
in a puddle of discontentment.
A true vampire would have been noble, at least
maybe even kissed my bruised and broken skin
after taking his fill
But not you
The real beast is always human
underneath
