The Candle bleeds darkly
like tears from a blackened heart
the weak flame does flicker
a dull and monotonous light
that offers little comfort and
does nothing to dispel the ever
persistant melancholic sensitivity of my soul
I raise my arms to the sky
the deep hues of charcoal blue
my face caressed by the light of a silver moon
consuming me
filling me with energy i never knew
each cell alive
I walk away
nothing will be the same again
