Forever, one more chance

Some things that never come to pass are our only wishes to have.
Those things can be slight or not at all.
Nothing can take back that long fall.
Only pass us into another break, where our life is at stake.
And we are hunted for reasons none other than to live.
Someone once said, something that is now dead.
I can hear the rain as it falls, or not at all.
Seeing the shadows closing in.
We may seek where to begin.
Some of us are home, while others are still gone.
Nothing left to emote a feeling, no affect worth seeing.
So what shall we do, when it comes for you.
I would rather be lost going round and round.
Than to be placed into the ground.
