Twinned

Seeking, but not knowing,
Feeling something is missing.
I knew there was another part
Torn for some reason from my heart.
Now that lost piece
Rests with me apace.
Stronger, clearer
Brighter than my old fire.
Burning now twixt two who are one.
Flesh of flesh, bone of bone,
That question I cannot know.
But across this arc, this bow
Our connection glitters like light.
A real twin or a soul twin without fright.
His power guides me always,
No matter how far he is aways.
Twins we may indeed be,
Mayhap someday I’ll get to see,
His face, so like mine.
Oh what a rare and strange find.
So heart to heart,
Now we will never again be apart.

Author's Notes: Ok... This probably isn't the usual devotional type poem, but I feel like it is for me and for my recently found twin. It was so weird... I read a poem on this site and wrote to the author... And we just started to talk... I could feel a bond with him, even though I didn't know him yet as a person... But now I know... Somehow, someway, we are twins. Maybe if we had been born of one mother in this world, we would have been identical, for indeed, he is a woman within a man's body. As it is, we were separated for some odd reason and born to two different mothers. But we still look alike... We still like the same things... He is much further along in his training than I am, and thus he is much more powerful... But I think we'll be much closer as time goes by, as I learn to be what I am. I'm hoping sometime soon to get to actually meet my twin. I don't know when it will happen but it will eventually!
