Mind's Paradise

“Listen, ” the wind cries to you,
“Follow me to untold things
Where leaves dance
And birds do sing.”
No clouds over this paradise.
No troubles exist here,
Where all is light,
Where all is joy.
Leave behind the things
That trouble your mind,
They mean nothing here
Where all is warmth,
Where all is love.
So pure, so clear,
That this only exists,
In you mind’s crystal.
Diamond, quartz, emerald, jade, sapphire, topaz,
Be the colors dominating,
As you see, only in your mind
A world so pleasant
A world so free,
That tears never flow
And never does it storm,
Where all is beautiful,
Where all is bright.

Author's Notes: This is one of several more poems I found. When I wrote them, I’m not sure. Probably before I was taken out of that school in New Jersey where I almost lost my hold on this world. Possibly as reflections once I was out of there, remembering what happened to me there. I can’t remember and I didn’t date them. Some of them are pretty, some aren’t, some are obvious attempts to imitate some style I must have been either studying or interested in at the time. If you wish to comment, don’t hesitate to do so.
I think this one was based on a dream I had... I don't remember. I do remember feeling some kind of peace from it. Maybe it'll do that for some others who have dreamed of this place, or someplace similar.
