Dragon Song

Age Group: Adult
Hear the dragons singing,
Hear their words from long ago.
They sing to all whom
Share their blood,
Share their forms,
Share their wings.
Dragonwalkers dance,
Change their forms with the winds,
With whom they sing,
In whom they love.
From Sea and Mountain,
Their songs ride the breezes.
Sea horses, Dragons of the Waters,
And crystalline caverns, Dragons of Ice.
And yet still more, of the other elements.
Sapphire and Silver,
Their colors are reflected everywhere.
They fly still among us,
Hide among the Humans.
They watch,
Trying to protect,
Though finding their way often barred.
They keep persisting,
Eventually they will succeed.
You may not see them,
But they are there.
Mayhap you are talking to one,
Even at the moment you read,
For an Ice Dragon does sit here,
Writing to you.
And another talks with her,
Visiting when ever he can.
He is of Water.
Both are here to serve
And to protect.
We do what we can,
And reach for others,
Who also dream of flying on Dragon Wings.
For by joining together,
All to one and one to all,
We pool our strength,
And sing as one.
To sing this world
Back to power,
Back to glory.
Back to the unity it once knew.
Dragons everywhere,
I sing to you,
For you,
Calling you to serve.
Join the flight
And let magick return here
To the world that once knew it.

Author's Notes: Like I promised, I'd try to be a bit more cheerful this time around. Mayhap I succeeded... I don't know. My Water Dragon friend may get a chance to come for a visit next week, which I'm looking forward to a whole lot... He's also one of the friends I wrote about in my last, rather depressing work... One of the ones who is just too far away to help when I really need to be around someone I can trust, and deeply care about. I don't know if he will ever read this... Though I know he's also on this site sometimes. Who can say... But if you happen to be a Dragon... Drop me a line, and we'll see what happens. Blessed be!
