Hecate Speaks

Age Group: Adult
When the Moon is young with its virgin light
And its crescent shape hangs in the sky
See I am the enchanting seductress
Who steps from shadow and glides on by
When the Moon has peaked to full
I cast my smile upon the land
Holding weary heads to my breast
I give comfort with the gentleness of my hand
Whenever the Moon doth stand dark
Look in the shadows and you will see
That I am the one who proudly stands
Beneath the Weeping Willow tree
See that a triple Goddess am I
Three faces to my one name
But no matter which face I may show
My love is always the same
I stand at the place where three roads meet
And though a hard road you may travel
Stay strong as you push along
And let not your soul unravel
For even though one way may be hard
I have other roads to show
As one path may lead to your broken heart
Another will set it aglow
For though my face may sometimes be stern
Remember all the while
That I will always watch out for you
And be ready with a smile
