The Seeker

The Sun cannot Stay, He Settles on the horizon
He in his race shows too much haste and soon will away
The rose-lit clouds, the bars of light
The fast approaching of the night
The streaks of sure-encroaching flight,
The Sun cannot stay
The Moon pulls my soul to wonders oft forgotten
Her silver light shines in the night, but hides from day's gold
Her countenance bright, her soothing tune
It is to us on Earth she croons
The loving of our Mother-Moon
Her song lets me go
Come show me the way to feel the Earth's revolving
To hear and see and know, all three, come show me the way
To know the trees and rocky shelf,
The ones not seen, but surely felt
To love and truly know myself,
Come show me the way
Author's Notes: These are the lyrics to one of my songs. I'm limited by the meter I used in composing the song. It came out kind of awkwardly.
