The Handfast Poem

In perfect love and perfect trust we abide
In a Sacred Circle, hand in hand, you and I
A Coven to witness our Sacred Rite
Handfasted Eternally this Magickal night
Blessed by the God and Goddess, for all time
Our Souls bound together, two wills combine.
Seven cords, seven colors laid one at a time
With every cord, our life together defined
Let the cords be now knotted
Let our Souls be enter twined
No longer separate, no longer alone
Presented by the Priestess, not two but one
Hands together, knotted, to show our seal
Symbols of our vows, connected by our will
Two souls became one with this Handfast
And so let our love eternally last
Magickally bound we cast our spell and jump the broom
On the Witching hour, under the Samhain moon.
