On Re-enactments

This is what my
great great great great
grandmother wore:
camisol
split bloomers
) corset (
petticoat petticoat petticoat
SKIRT!
pleated blouse
closed jacket
and hair under pinnings aplenty.
I tried it all on once
cinched me tight
(to hide that baby-fat
in hour-glassed time)
bosom overflowing
in Feminine Splendor!
While thighs and Sex
are artfully concealed
-but not contained!-
And I thought that,
should I choose,
I could have any fellow I fancy
and not remove one stich of clothing...
And while our Exstasy
spilled into the hosiery,
I'd return to the dance floor,
my face a-flush,
while busy-bodies gossip
upon my shinging
angelic
complexion.
So nevermind the corset-
woman could always be free:
for others see only what they want to see.
Author's Notes: No, seriously, Victorian era clothing had all those layers and was totally modest, but, lets face it, when your used to wearing your panties... well, your still Commando, whether you have 8 petticoats or one.
