The Flame
by Taliesin
Age Group: Adult
I can't think,
I can't sleep,
insatiable,
thirsty heat.
~
It rages in my breast,
this sorrow,
this joy,
this longing in my chest,
my reality destroyed.
It blazes through my veins,
this madness,
so clear,
yanking on my reins,
and roaring in my ears.
~
Once I'm burned away,
I can see as clear as day,
the beauty all around,
so starkly profound.
The veins upon a leaf ,
become like rivers across the land,
the deep mystic valleys,
like the creases on my hands.
This must be what it's like,
to be the living mother earth,
to be a flower or a tree,
or a mother giving birth.
A couple in tantric love,
in the heat of the night,
share this flame too,
that consumes me in it's light.
This force connect us all,
it's in you
and in me,
and when you hear it's call
ride the flame
of burning chi.
