THE GODDESS'S HUG

Age Group: Adult
As the full moon rises,
above the mountains to the east.
I feel the blood of my ancestors within,
calling me to ritual and feast.
Thirteen times a year,
the Lady is at a full.
Thus it has been since,
time was at a null.
The endless cycle of life,
as the wheel turns.
Is all around us,
we the blessed can discern.
The Goddess and the God,
bring forgotten knowledge to our lives,
Helping us to understand the Earth's rhythms,
like a bee knows the song of it's hive.
Most of today's people,
have lost touch with the land.
They can not hear a tree's whispered wisdom,
nor feel the power within a standing stone with their hand.
But when the full moon rises,
All mankind feels her tug.
Only a chosen few recognize it,
as the Goddess's Hug!!!
Author's Notes: The first Poem I wrote after starting on the Pagan Path, over 14 years ago.
