Empathic Resonance

Take my worries, borne by the wind
bless my tears formed today
I have watched many an emotion thrown
by careless hands come what may
My bones ache from all this emotion
I cringe in pain amongst the bathwater
almost too much to bear, add more salt
lay back and close my eyes, just to falter
Silently I ask my self
the reason I am letting this get to me
the answer I got was I care too much
and I needed a reminder that I am free
So I opened my self today
threw wide the doors to my empathic power
and just listened and felt for a moment
every voice, every sorrow and every love
So I give a nod to the power of water
as I let it drain
taking the sorrow and the pain
from me
Reminding me not to do this too often
as it really hurt.
Author's Notes: I wanted to feel and try to heal what I could today knowing full well what would happen. I have closed myself for too long. There is too much pain for one person to bear in this world. Wish I could fix it.
