Kissing the Windy
by Oracle
Age Group: Adult
Oh, the cold north winter wind blows
upon her frozen skin
blinded and bound by he who knows
tasting her last breath again
She rides upon the invisible
forever searching for him
many days and nights divisible
parted and alone, love growing dim
she kisses the windy, honoring them both
forever knowing the happening
waiting and biding, keeping her troth
unil they finally meet as in the rekoning
The cold winter snows swirl around
as she stands in awe of this land
as early or late, tasting no sound
she closes her eyes and offers her hand
Silently, he who knows
sees her honestly feeling
stealthly, silently, finds her in the snows
every breath she takes, body reeling
She kisses the windy, knowing he comes
feeling his presence grow stronger
slowly she gains her strength as her body numbs
They embrace, alone no longer.
