The Cast Away

Eyes destructive full of fury and hate
She points toward the door with her thin finger
Casting me aside and leaving me to my fate
She wishes me to go so I shall not linger
The winds cruel and cold making little sound
Night is falling and the path I take is long
Tonight I fear I shall not be found
Leaving her alone, but I’ll never be too far-gone
To her now I am a true stranger
Forced away without a glance of last
Winds buffeting me with the chilling force of nature
She has no idea how much I long for the past
People say my heart and mind won’t last much longer
I believe this will only make me stronger
