In Footsteps I Follow

In Footsteps I Follow
My Lady, my Lord be with me right now
And help me be steadfast as problems I face
Your wisdom be with me and grant me your grace
To act with compassion and justice--I vow.
Each day full of laughter and sorrows we find
The beauty of nature, the hand of a friend
The hope of tomorrow our needs to attend
We learn by your footsteps with heart and with mind.

Author's Notes: We are never alone. In the day there are many times to remember this fact, to call on help, or to give thanks. This poem too, is intended to be a companion piece to go with "Morning Devotion" and "Evening Reflection." I believe in inviting My Lady and My Lord to be part of each day.
