One step
by Phoenix Sol
Age Group: Adult
Stand where you are
see where you have come
light that you used to guide you
shines ahead,
as the darkness develops behind.
It is a straight and nerrow path,
You connot see through the light ahead
but you can feel the warmth that it creates,
You cannot see through the darkness behind
but you can feel the cold
that clamps over you and seeks
to devower you.
Yes the path is straight and narrow,
Well layed out by those who have tred
this path before you.
But stop and stand where you are.
Now open your eyes.
You cannot see ahead or behind
but the balence leads to the sides.
Now you can see the paths
and you have to deside.
Do you follow your sight and find
a path all your own
Or do you close your eyes and follow the light.
Author's Notes: I have often seen "the light" as compleat blind faith and I know that there has to be a balence of light and dark in order for one to see clearly.
