Oh thou love of my heart

Age Group: Adult
Oh thou love of my heart, the one that makes me
drain my joys and sorrows through the pens blood;
Why do you tarry?
Why would you choose fetters over freedom?
the ground over wings,
tradition over love?
We have eaten together at loves table where we
filled our bellies with the wine of passion,
and ate the food of too much tenderness.
Yet even now, my eyes do starve for your face to nourish them.
Every hair on my head
Cries out for your fingers to
run through their silky texture,
only to then become mad with hugs and kisses.
Let us run and eat at loves table once again
That you might not remember your chains as ever
having bound you and that freedom
was your food all along.
