In dust and cloak of Autumn night, beneath a slivered moon.
Between the worlds of dark and light, she haunts the sleeping ruins
Awaiting Samhain’s celebrants, aglow by candlelight,
They wander in, through forest and field, the children of night.
Circling, circling, crimson and gold, in starlight, forest and flame
Sanctum, sanctorum, we draw down the moon, and whisper your sacred name,
Circling, circling, from Eden you ran, as Adam stood by in despair,
Solus, sola, solum, solum, the circle will draw you near.
I conjure thee, so dark, so cold; rise from your phantom home,
And gift me with your midnight kiss; your dreams will be my own.
Bestow my soul with wisdom old, with truths ‘fore Christ was born,
I ask thee, cast your blessed spell, before the light of morn.

The Children of Demeter flee; the cloak of night is drawn.
The hor-ned moon and stars depart, as All Soul’s Day does dawn.
I’ll hear no more the Sparrow’s call, nor Morning Lark’s refrain,
For Lilith hath my soul embraced; with her I shall remain.
