Are you my age?

Age Group: Adult
Are you my age?
Old as the stars, fresh as each spring
- - Oblivious, glorious, and then on the wing
Gray and wrinkled, mountain cliff sides
- - Young at each encounter with wonder-laden eyes
Or snowy valleys harboring dormant life
- - Knows how to measure the depths of peace and strife
Anticipating, hoping, welcoming each season
- - Seeking, and willing, and trusting more than reason
Buds; waving grasses; pirouette-descending leaves
- - Age has no measure where reason still believes
