rebirth, renewal...

the forest was lush and full of energy
I walked towards the large tree
the voices around me said “don’t be afraid”
so I carried on..stepping hesitantly
the tree was majestic and grand
I approached it carefully and silent
the tree felt my presence and welcomed me
and then it opened wide, split down the center
I was taken aback, but only for a second
I walked through its bark like gateway
there was silence and peace
and I came out on the other-side
I was covered in blue light
I felt it all over me and laughed
I held my hands to the heavens above
and knew I was reborn...
