Healing for a Broken Heart

by Nyx Sange
 Age Group: Adult

I was told once that true love means acting like a fool. Love is nothing more than just a game, Throwing your valued life away for a single moment. But sometimes, insanity is more loved.
Love is all but confusion, I was told once. No one knows who is involved and who isn't. It's hard to tell who are wearing masks and why. It's not confusion, though. It's called faith.
I once believed that love was just pain waiting to happen. It's stronger than hate and three times as deadly. Worthless devotion will only tear you up in the end. Know that pain heals; it will go away eventually.
I was told that love ends with a tear. Is that true? Do some people end their "eternal love" that way? It makes others question their partner with love. Beware of who is toying with you and who means it.
Love can make you do the impossible, I believed. It can break barriers and destroy armies. But what is it all for in the end? Foolishness with reason is the purest act of bravery.
All you need is to be in their arms, I was told, And everything will be forgotten in that moment. Don't give into your darkest dreams to keep demons at bay. A single sense of them is all you need.
I had a broken heart, too once. I tried to hide my pain by hiding who I am, But what good comes out of that, hiding in the shadows? Happiness will come to you... if that's who you are.
Author's Notes: I went through everything that happened when my last boyfriend betrayed me so I swore off guys, trying to convince others and myself that I didn't need them. This is mainly advice for those confused in love, but don't take my word for it. This is just what I know from experience and it's my view on it.
