Our Promise

I remember the night we had,
When you caressed my skin
And showed me the love
That rested in your eyes.
I showed you my love
And touched your body.
When I had to leave,
You could feel my energy leaving you.
I caught you when you fell,
Your skin became ice.
Your eyes began to fade.
I made you look into my eyes.
I told you "I will see you again."
I don't intend to break that promise.
You gave me a ring
And told me the same thing.
You whispered into my ear
Softly, like the wind,
"I will stay with you."
We belong to each other.
That is our word.
