Music Box

The solemn angels sang in the choir
A dark and dreary song
Wanting to end this ominous feeling,
A young one came along.
She opened her tiny music box
And soon the world did hear
Her graceful and enchanting voice
When her true beauty appeared.
That music box echoed in the dark
Dispelled the night away
And shone a light so bright and warm,
It kept all demons at bay
For many a time I heard the song
Her little music box played
And now and forever in my heart,
Her sweet voice will stay.
Even when the box is closed,
I still can hear her voice
Singing above the seraphim
And humans did rejoice.
That young one now has left our world,
But the music box is here
And when that enchanting song is played,
That young one will appear
Author's Notes: A girl who used to go to my school and basically inspired me to sing committed suicide a few days ago. I just got back from her wake and I completely broke down. She was truly an inspiration to me and I'll never forget her.
