Death's Hand

Age Group: Adult
There are some who fear Him
Because they want more time.
Time to say "Goodbye."
Time to say "I love you."
Time to extract revenge.
Time to find themselves
But He comes when He comes.
His hand is never gentle.
He will come unexpected as the wind
He comes when you are next.,
Whether you are ready or not.
I am one of the few
Who do not fear Him.
I have been ready for Him to take me
When my time comes.
He is an acquaintance...
One I vaguely know,
But have seen with friends and family
Taking them to salvation or damnation.
I have seen Him.
I see His brighter side.
I am ready to take His hand
I'm still here because
He is not ready for me.
He knows I am ready,
But He also knows I have much to learn
He will not come for me
Even though I know my reasons.
I know my purpose.
He will not take from me anything I need.
He knows what I will do if He does.
He will wait for me.
As I will wait to take His hand...
