A Hard Memory to Forget

You say that you love me tenderly
You say that you'll take care of me
And I believe you everly
Because I know you will,
But even when you caress me,
Intoxicate and undress me,
Memories of him surpress me
Of when he had his fill.
I shy away from your touch
And diminish all thought of such
Even though it may not be much,
The memory still remains.
I hurt you when I shy away
I'm sorry, but I have to say
I'm scared that He's still here to stay
In my thoughts that give me pain.
You say that I must forget
Ever being with him. When we first met,
But it's so hard not to regret
The time I let him abuse.
I know the magnitude of this crime,
And forgive me, but it will take time
To repress if not forget the slime
That nearly destroyed my virture
All I ask is just one thing:
Happiness to me, please bring,
Love me like when you gave me your ring
And help him disappear.
And know that now It's you I love.
I ask you to help me rise above
With you among the gods and doves.
Help me forget this fear.
Author's Notes: It's hard to forget someone who abused you, but they can be at leat surpressed. I'm still working on that and I need all the help I can get.
