Elemental Lullaby

Sleep, my sweet baby.
The earth will give you a bed.
She will let you sleep softly.
Inhale her fragrance
That will lull you to sleep.
Sweetest dream sleep.
Rest, my dear child.
The wind will sing you a song.
She will give you sweet dreams.
Listen to her voice
That will sing you to sleep.
Darling sweet sleep.
Sleep, precious infant,
The fire will burn for you.
He will keep you safe and warm.
Feel his gentle heat
That will guard you while you sleep.
Beautiful sleep.
Rest, my dear baby.
The waters will let you dream.
They will rock you to sleep.
Feel their soft motions
That will keep you asleep.
Fast alseep.
Sleep now, my child.
The darkness will protect you.
He will hide you from monsters.
Sense the sentinal
That will protect your sleep.
Precious sleep.
Rest, joyful infant.
The light will awaken you.
She will give you the morning.
See her true beauty
That will give you a new day
When you're done sleeping.
Author's Notes: I was listening to "Sleep" by Eric Whitacre while I was cleaning house today and in my mind, I was thinking of a lullaby. I have no idea why. Now all I gotta do is think of a tune to this song.
