Bodies Immortal Unawakened

by PanSpiritus
 Age Group: Adult

Oh how I slumber Nested within myself Like a sower's hand nesting seeds!
How I am interlocked Self within self within self! Yet I am one ray Shining into all things Knowing not where I begin I must then continue forever. One comet flung into a sun of hope. If I hope too much, I burn away and am one With the end of my aspirations - If I hope too little, I am uncarved, thrown into Limitless light to be one With my Nuit.
To be now and burning with White Sun or to sleep and perish with Black Star of Darkness. Still we fall into Godhead - Still the stars call us inwards - Suddenly unfrozen, unstill, awakened. The mind's hand releases us into foul dust Darkness covers our heads Secret light steers us into the opening of sky. When the soul's bloom appears, No man-made diadem can outshine its radiance.
The star looks outwards and sees darkness in all directions! Light bringer - know this your nature. Push from the center in all directions and wind with the becomings of the universe - Until beauty pervades the soul like Sunlight in a drop of dew.
I will mute the world until I hear the call of nature I will cover my eyes until I see the glow of the far-off one. Till there is no sound but sound and no light but light. The first experience of the great spectacle. Becoming that which is becoming - Moving with all animation before me. When I rise in the morning - I will dance in a boundless world of thoughtless thought - A Dream Conspired Reality.
I will open like the rose in the garden of Shabistari. I will rest like the serpent of bliss on the waters of infinity and remember... I was before, I am, and shall always be.
Author's Notes: This is a very mystic piece with several random references. The glow of the far-off one refers to "hecate phosphoros" the guardian who leads souls from the underworld into birth.
The star looking in all directions is a reference to the ruler of Tiphareth. Likewise 'becoming that which is becoming' is the literal translation of the epithet of the ruler of Kether. The single ray that sees infinite beauty is one who shines on all around, yet covering its eyes in the darkness of the abyss of knowledge to discover the limitless light of their own existence.
The serpent of bliss is Ananda, the third and final part of the epithet of Brahman, satchidananda - or "truth/existence, knowledge, bliss." The world serpent with a thousand heads rests at the foot of Vishnu the great dreamer. Likewise the personal Kundalini lies dormant at the foot of each unawakened being - until it uncoils into utmost serenity. This is also a reference to a line from the yoga sutras.
The comet is a bit of a play-off on Crowley's Nuit who claims he is Hadit - "the secret Serpent coiled about to spring: in my coiling there is joy. If I lift up my head, I and my Nuit are one. If I droop down mine head, and shoot forth venom, then is rapture of the earth, and I and the earth are one."
Overall, this is a description of how one undergoes spiritual awakening and averts mundane awarness into the subtle bodies.
