Forsaken

I have been forsaken
Cast out by those I love
they have bound me and tossed me out to sea
Waves crash down upon me and all is dark
Woe unto me, for my life has been stolen
Ripped away like the now fleeting sun
Cold, uncaring, unforgiving shadows wrap about me
My life is at its end
Ebbing and flowing, fading away
Ripples of my past flash before my eyes
As I fall to the last depths of darkness, I shut them
There is a final swell as I let go
I shall not return
Author's Notes: I wrote this awhile ago, I thought that the idea of the sea being a representation of one being forsaken was an interesting idea. I think that the speaker is clearly a male and that he speaks of a certain event, not just the accumulation of many. I just write what comes to mind, I don't think much on it until afterwords.
