Death of a Lover

by Shalandriel Dragonsblood
 Age Group: Adult

Kill me slowly, love So that you may see the fading light in my eyes So that you may feel my fleeting heart beat Tell me, love Is my skin cold to the touch? Is my face hars to look upon? Tell me, love Will you mourn me in my passing? Will you cry at the mention of my name? Tell me, love So that I may pretend to do the same for you
Author's Notes: I find this poem a bit sad, until you get to the last line inwhich I find it slightly sadistic. The last line is what really makes the entire thing work I believe. Feedback is always welcome.
