Surge (A High School Piece)

Thinking is the heart's delusion
Night deluded, Dream's protrusion
Drunk from well-spring. Battle-fed
Like a demon, bleeding red.
Undeluded I release
And look inside for inner peace.
Night whose colors, veiled and purple
Dimly first appears to me,
Draws the colors of the mountains
And the ocean's nativity.
Drums of silence echo onward
To the furthest ocean wave,
Conjuring the night's appearance
In my mental silent cave.
Fire burns the source of the pyre.
Screaming lungs that joyous bide
Build the fire of the souls
And echo in the hidden tide.
Remembrance life is not in the distance
Eternal moment - living here
Strikes each location's chance
And makes my living soul appear.
The universe hangs in the balance,
Ebb and flow of the source
Outpour into our existence
Flow back to the Mother Force.
We are in the tide of Nothing
Knowing life is for living,
Learn to enjoy the main we straddle
How to swim and not to battle.
