The Witches' Dream

Oh conjure me with the pointing stick
In the gentles skies of eastern birth
By the wand that measures heaven
Whose wind encircles dawn and Earth
Brandish me like a fiery blade
That casts each circle trod
Thrust forth the secret fire
By the noon of the goatish God
Outpour me womb and chalice
Swim with me through the murk
Of the dusk of all our consciousnesss
Where dreams and sea-things lurk
Dance with me disc of five-rayed star
Come jeweler, midnight's crone!
Northern gate of mystery
Let we know thee still and alone!
Fish of below with pearl of spark
Beneath the world within the dark
Watch over me spirits of below
Where point beneath the stars lay low
Form of above, jewel-studded skin
Let heaven's fire let me in
Guide me aeons from above
By the ring above the point of love.
King and Queen within the soul
I call to the union alchemical
Of blade and cup, wand, pentacle
And the single charged receptacle.
I call thee Dryghten of the deep
Queen of all within her keep
Master of the hidden plane
Lady of shining Elphame
May dreams of all affect our course
Of human fate conspire this
Bring thy children to thy face
Radiate thy strange, uncanny bliss
That charges space in ritual's dance
Remove the guard from me to Thee
Free magick, let us fly again
And swim in the night's sea...
That I a Witch may speak my name
To the sun and moon of keep
And dream of spirits eldritch
Arousing them from blissful sleep
That I may carve the pentagram
In each beam of six-rayed space
And flag the magic towers
That watch the starry face
Be with me sylphid angels
Give me Paralda's stride
Be with me salamanders
Dancing with Djinn's pride
Be with me ondines flowing
Give me Neeksa's grace
Be with me gnomes of forests
Holding Ghob's earth in place!
Be with me
Granddame Grandsire
Watchers of Elphame
Dance with me in the meadow
And the hidden hush
Of chanted name
Oh charge the breath, the spirit
The flesh that wanteth still
To will that all who live be healed
And will that they should will...
Will thus and fly on besom stroke
All you who on thoughts stream
Believe that dreams may fly away
And join the witches' dream...
