Fat Cat

Neko-san, ogenki desu ka?
I am fine. Yet, my life is broken. Meaningless. I lay on an old, moth-ball-smelling couch, owned by an old lady in an old vine-ridden, decrepit home, falling apart from lack of tending. I am fat because the wrinkly, crooked old lady with too much perfume and bad make-up feeds me too much trout. I am lazy because I lay on an out-of-date, ugly moth-ball-smelling couch all day. The old lady’s home has too many pictures and trinkets and is in desperate need of an interior design make-over. The air is musky and always smells like burnt chocolate, I blame her overly-energetic grandchildren for that. So I lie on my overly cushy, yet soft moth-ball-smelling couch and the old woman in mal-content… why couldn’t I have been a dog?
At least she would have shot me years ago.
