The Supernatural Exists

The more I learn I must say this
The supernatural exists
We each are given diverse gifts
Each time the spirit gently lifts
From earth's design and its domain
To deep recesses of the brain
Numbed to life, freedom begins
The light of darkness surely wins
Accept its toll, its gravity
Open your eye and start to see
This is the interior experience
Against which there is no defense
The thinking self beyond its thought
Where hidden light of all is wrought
Where we look the lover in the eyes
On a hidden path we surely realise
The circle we shall always dance
The eternal sunset of new romance
This is a dream, this is a gift
Our soul can soar, our spirit lift
Our wings can sprout, spread new again
And we can let our lives begin
For surely as the Lord was born
Of his own Self before the morn
And Goddess woke from silent earth
Letting her child have its birth
We each remember history
As a dim cloud in our Mystery
In the backward eye that scans the brain
And lets its Self be known again
That Self is free, it's always been
Possessed of mind since time began
And time is closing, time is nigh
Like a scent that strikes the passerby
Observe a moment, then it's gone
Awaiting a light, another dawn
Like incense wafting, sweet it drifts
Stunning the eyes as feeling sifts
A spade holding gems of stars
In all the dust of the hidden bars
The chariot-boats of silver sky
Pass all - in gem darkness fly,
Spirit is known, its current drifts
The sun lights eyes and life lights gifts
Whatever life, no matter small
Is one reflection of the All
And in the dance a second turn
Feelings felt, reacting, burn
Present our fate, our origin
In a Passion's dream, the minds of men
Fly to its heights, engulf its flame
Win back the presence of its Name
Fly now, I can say but this,
The supernatural exists.
