Being the Morrigan

I am sleeping in a
bed of ghosts
Arms around cold
shadows and darkness
keen as cutting edges
dear as all my life
I named you all
I name you still
I was Morrigan
to each and every
leaving you dead
carrying away
such grim barter
as the sight
of your last
cold faces
In those hours
on the knife-edge of
turning light
dark to dawn
your last faces
gather close
eyes on me
now as then
And there is
none of me
not broken
twisted with the
hunger to see you
here beside me
Come then come
each dead friend
Circle round
speak to me
in the sounds of
geese fleeing
winter against an
apathetic moon
stretch down beside me
let me touch you
let me touch you and weep
For I loved you each
I loved you each
and my hands are
always bloody
with you.
