Drawing Down the Moon

Drawing Down the Moon
Singing it down from the sky
the night is taken back in to itself
and grows complete,
as the high priestess
draws down the moon.
Inviting the powers in
filling herself, her cauldron, her chalice
her orifice,
inflamed with the charge of the Goddess.
Long lost friend,
Full Moon
Triple Goddess,
in heaven known
by a thousand names
She speaks words of power,
enchantments
from the sacred, secret, spiritual texts
of the soul's grimoire
sealed around a bonfire of ancient ritual.
Celebrating the elements, she drinks in
inducing entrance to the Mystery
dancing naked, ripened
in salty ecstasy,
giving worship to a wildness
that will not heed the dawn,
and for this moment,
all is perfect, and exquisite.
Descended from a magick
older than words
in a place between worlds
where the God and Goddess are met
with simple stone,
blade of grass, handfuls of dirt,
and moonbeams
Where witches and conjurers cast their spells
Infused with the full moon power of three
she becomes the maiden, mother,
and crone
perched at the entrance of herself
Uniting with the essence of the Trinity,
and so, the power within
propelled
into the awakened life.
