Hair Bare
by Shouting Mountain
Age Group: Adult
It flowed and danced around my cheeks,
The wind my locks did like to seek.
My ears were hidden by filaments of gold,
That interlaced with designs so bold.
Beautiful it was and this was all of me,
At least as far as I could see.
Reveling in the glory that was my mop,
Until I started getting thin on top.
Mother Nature had other ideas about my look,
Time to turn the page in life's old book.
With some reluctance I took up the blade,
And bald my head was made.
Wow! Does that ever feel cool!
Razor, you are a generous tool.
From what I was I am now free,
Look in my eyes it is still just me.
Am I worse or am I better?
Let me know and send a letter.
Bald feels fine so it will stay this way,
Out in the wind I will still play.
