An Ex To Remember, But You Want To Forget
by Gram Alabaster
Age Group: Adult
This is long story but true. Its very hard to imagine or believe, but it happened, I wish it didnt but it did.
There was one, one girl that is, she loved her guy, almost obsessivly some said. She was very dark in the mind and heart, as was her guy. As they went on through their lives, she turned to him and said two things. The first was just asking him if he would quit a drug for her. The second was more of an threat than a request, she said, " I will break up with you if you do not quit the team, at the rate things are going there, you are going to wind up dead. I want a living guy, so whats it going to be?" she asked. He thought for what seemed an eternity. Finally he said, " The team, it keeps me sane just as you keep me full of emotion." Well she didnt take this too well, she stomped off in a huge fit of rage cursing up a blue streak as she went. Well the next day was a little weird for the guy, put most of all, painful. That one girl, came up to her ex, as if nothing had happened and she gave him a hug. He felt as if nothing could hurt him. Then he felt something agaisnt his ribs, he didnt bother looking because it didnt hurt. However he felt a second one, but this one stung, so he looks down to see what it is. Wide eyed and shocked, he sees a knife that is in his side, and next to it a hole where he felt the first bump. Before he could react, his ex took the knife and stabbed him in the side of his rib cage. She then ran, leaving him bleeding and in her mind, dying. His friends came to his home, and found him clutching his ribs and side. They didnt know how to respond, so they just applied pressure to the dying guy's wounds. They didnt call authorities because they believed they would get there too late. Perhaps this may have been true, but reacting the way they did, saved his life, the knife wounds didnt puncture any vitals. After that day, that one guy, became afraid to love, afraid to get attached, all because of one, sick and obsessed girl. He became two different people in essence, one was the innocent little boy that his parents knew and would most likely never want to give up. The other, was a drug addict, someone that had no emotion left to give, because to him, his emotion was destroyed. He still sees that one girl, his ex. He now knows 3 different forms of self defense, et he chooses to run from her instead of face her, for he cannot hit a girl no matter the amount of rage in him or her. He lives to this day, afraid, and cold emotionally, he creeps out all of his class mates. Who was this person, this person was me."
