What You Are To Me

You came into my life
I didn’t know what to expect
We sat and talked for hours
About hopes, and dreams, and regrets
And by the look in your eyes
I saw there was something there
A newly found inspiration
One that knows just how to care
Thru the good and bad times
You know that I’ll be there
To be with you
The thoughts and dreams that surround us
Are ours for us to dare
And with tireless wreckless abandon
You know that I’ll be there
To hold up to your expectations
We’ll let nothing keep us down
You’re there for me, I’m there for you
We’re together when we’re not around
And though our lives keep changing
Thru the good and thru the bad
You’re a constant light
You’ll never know what you are to me
There are no words to explain
For the meaning of you in my life
Was sent from another plane
Thank you for what you are to me
Thank you for keeping me sane
Thru the happy times, the joyful ones
Thru the tears and all the pain
Together we can get thru anything
We’ve seen it done before
The future is an open door
It’s an open door.
Author's Notes: Written for one of the most spectial people in my life, whom to this day is still what this song represents.
