When Dreams Turn

They came to the north....On a ship of dreams they'd sail
Across the sea of ice ...In search of whale
The ocean waves lashed as they hoist their sail
Secured all the ropes being pounded by hail
Ohhhh - when dreams turn to nightmares
Ohhhh - no light from the stars to guide
The capitain cursed orders...the crew tried to follow
The bow of the ship surrendered to the ice
One man to the left, one man to the right
The ocen so rough, they prayed for flight
Ohhhh - when dreams turn to nightmares
Ohhhh - no calm seas ahead - or safety
Now John was a man...of the sword
He casted with might - as he secured the boards
Relentless was wind, and blinding was light
He thought of his wrongs, he wished them right...
Ohhhh - when dreams turn to nightmares
Ohhhh - is there anyone out there
The capitain ordered his valient crew under
With the swells drowning, and crashes of thunder
the decision was final - all due to the tidal
They'd wait it out in hopes of a better tomorrow
Ohhhh - when dreams turn to nightmares
Ohhhh - haste, pain, and sorrow
As fast as it came, it left without warning
The sea was as calm as 3 days before
The daybreak ws peaceful, with flyin' seagulls
And once again they hoisted the sails for home....
Ohhhh - when dreams turn to nightmares
Ohhhh - we're goin' home
Ohhhh - we're on our way home
Ohhhh - we're close to our home
Ohhhh - It's good to be home
