Without Notice

Once again, alone at night
Once again, I begin the fight
The demons that embrace my every thought
In the web of pseudo-insanity I'm caught
During the day, The mask keeps them at bay
But at night, when I'm alone,
They haunt me, they taunt me
- never allowing me rest
Thoughts of times past
When life was better
Mean nothing to me now
I'm filled with sorrow, with hate
With anger, with pain
There is no solace for my brain
Only knowledge of what has become me
and the fear of what lies on the horizon
of the next dark day
There is no escape
No one to ease the pain
No one to sense it, feel it, KNOW it
It is a battle I must face alone
The desolate isolation of one turned stone
The person everyone once knew
Is now only a passing shadow of a soul
How could you let me go,
How could you let me just slip away
You never took the time to know
The pain, the hurt,
the daily agony what has become of me
I only merely exist, I do not live
In the essence of time
all good things must come to an end
I am now at mine
I welcome it.
No more negative thoughts
No more lies
No more feeling
No more me
I lie here in wait
for the eternal sleep to envelop me
to just drift away without a sound
without notice...
Two daggers, front and back
I lie here and wait as the chords change
the guitar sounds, then fades,
the melodic tones of what is now my only existance
nothingness.....
I fade to black,
as intended...
