Missing You

What was it I said?
What was it I did?
To cause you to disappear
into the chilling wind...
A perfect beginning
of a magickal trek
Discussions of expectation
Discussions of life
Sometimes...
no discussion needed
We'd played,
We'd laughed,
We'd roamed,
We'd slept...
But never once
anything was expected.
Rules were made,
Understandings kept,
abiding by the set lessons
learned thru life.
So many things
have come and gone,
and I want to share them;
With you,
my dearest friend.
I look upon it
as a knight gone to quest
and an anxious sister
waiting upon his return.
Hoping, waiting,
longing to see his smile,
wanting to know he's alive,
waiting...
for his gallant return...
So, if in essence,
I have wronged you -
Please, forgive my actions.
I know not what I have done.
If it is life's fair calling
that carries you on such a quest,
Then I pray she brings you
home swiftly and safely...
To once again be close.
I love you as a musician,
I love you as a friend,
Listen to life's changing chords...
This love shall never end...
I miss you.....
