Harken the Horn

Harken the horn
sweet dreadful sound
that blows across brake
and hangs over moore,
Harken the horn
it's cry sings true
through braken
and burn,
sweet dreadful tune.
No wide eyed doe,
no fearful hare,
no baying hounds,
no fox in a snare.
The hunt is upon us,
harken the horn,
the hunt has begun,
that sweat dreadful tune
the horn it was fashioned
by red eyed boar,
the horn it was gifted
by tall noble roe,
the horn it is blown
by black eyed bear.
They've come from their hiding,
they've come from their cave,
they've left their lair,
the hunt is away.
Harken the horn,
sweet dreadful sound
that screams through the canyons,
that rattles the ground,
Harken the horn,
man, woman and child,
the hunt is upon us,
the hunters
are wild.
