Where is Neverland?

Age Group: Adult
A child-like dance upon a sail-boat
begins my storybook of memories.
Peter Pan fought Captain Hook
in beautiful Neverland,
the shimmering sun dipping deep
into the blue sky's well.
Wendy
spinning in circles
catching wishes on her skirt
laughing at the wind in her hair
pure happiness, drifting
like a noisy silence into Spring air.
How can angel song
be put into words?
Peter Pan stood triumphant
Victorious! against his foe
before swords
turned to sticks,
before Neverland
became a backyard again,
before a pirate ship
became an old sail boat.
Where did that magic go?
