Freedom

The fettles fall from the dragon making him free
His wounds are still raw but now he can see
He takes a great breath and exhales a fire cloud
Flexes his muscles, stretches and walks proud
Once again the breeze supports his great wings
Freedom caresses him and in his joy he sings
The moon beckons to him and he answers the call
His mission and pride fill him and he walks tall
And his heart now drained of the stifling pain
Is filled with compassion and love once again
What magickal adventures lie in store for him?
Freedom to explore and to answer every whim
The light returns to his eyes and fire to his heart
This is the beginning of a new life, the very start
New friends and foes await and are now in sight
Deeds of valour, damsels to save and wrongs to right
All these await the fiery dragon and even more
A key has unlocked the lock and opened the door
It was a beautiful witch who gave him the key
She loosened the chains and set his spirit free
