Lughnasadh
Through the fields this late summer I roam
But I always return to my heart, my Pagan home
The Sun God is starting to age, to get old
Now his beauty is appearing in leaves as gold
My Lord Pan “What is it with your horns?”
The look to me like two golden barleycorns
Summer’s passionate heat has slowed and abated
We are ready to reap the harvest, so long awaited
Persephone readies herself to Join Hades in love
To take the warmth below and to leave cold above
Author's Notes: In the Southern hemisphere we are 6 months out of sync with the North.
As you prepare for Imbolc, we are getting ready for Lamas or Lughnasadh.
Wherever you are I send my wish of a happy festival to you
