The Spirit Tree

Standing alone in a forest is the spirit tree
Tall majestic, strong and a friend to me
Far greater than any man yet much less
Leaves and bark make up its stately dress
You stand serenely there, a God in disguise
Whispering silent words inspirational and wise
My pain, frustration and confusion you extract
Replacing it with understanding, insight and hope intact
Oh great tree that is everything and nothing at all
Teach us your meek power as you stand so strong and tall
