Beltane 2005

The quarters burnt steady and bright
For this was the beginning of Beltane night
In the center stood the phallic maypole
Ribbons of semen and blood playing their roll
Music played and all began the magick dance
Weaving around the pole as in some deep trance
The tempo of the dance and the energy grew
Love descended and each paired off two by two
A fleeting glance, a shy smile or a passionate look
Plans to find a private and secluded little nook
I hope all had a marvelous Beltane

Author's Notes: In the southern hemisphere we are 6 monthe out of sync with the north. Last night we celebrated Beltane
